BIAS OF THE WEEK

Choice-Supportive Bias

Participants were asked to choose between two potential options for a blind date, bot of which had good and bad qualities

Asked to retrospectively recall attributes, they assigned more positive qualities to the date they chose

We tend to overemphasise the positive attributes or benefits of choices we’ve previously made
