In 2021, researchers explored how framing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) measures as benevolent acts carried out by workers impacted the behavior of 3,000 employees.
The average amount of cheating by employees increased by 11% after implementing CSR measures presented in this way.
After engaging in moral or altruistic actions, we tend to allow ourselves to act unethically.
