The Ostrich Effect

The fear of receiving bad news can lead patients to ignore important warning signs or delay seeking treatment. 

This can result in worsening health conditions or the spread of undiagnosed diseases. 

The Ostrich Effect describes the tendency for people to avoid negative or unpleasant information.
