Encourage inhabitants to bring their recyclable items to the drop-off and to dispose of them properly.
Our response
We improved the appearance of the bins using 6 Nudges which objectives were:
To create salience on the bins and make them more visible
To make this setup more attractive using a positive halo effect
Making the link between recycling and preserving the Planet more direct and easier to understand.
The results
The implemented nudge led to a 20% increase positive perception of the sorting system. 17% of inhabitants who remember seeing the redesigned bins recycled more than before the intervention.
