The challenge

Encourage the recruitment of men in a human resources department.

Our response

Three nudges were formulated in reponse to the challenge faced by the HR department:

The name HR Business Partner was created to highlight the business aspect of the role.

The recruitment ads were written by men, as men are more likely to value their role than women.

The recruitment process was anonymised so that women interviewing male candidates did not start the interview with a bias.

The results

The human ressources department saw an increase of 40% in gender diversity after a year and a half. Appointments of male employees to HR Business Partner positions increased by 55%.
