Cryptomnesia

After taking turns to generate examples from a random category, participants were later asked to suggest new, previously unmentioned examples

They inadvertantly plagiarised others participants suggestions around 3-9% of the time. 

We sometimes suggest others’ ideas as our own, genuinely forgetting that they are not original
